Late Spring Visit to Natirar

NatirarImage via Wikipedia

The name Natirar is simply an anagram of Raritan, which is the river that runs 2 miles across this truly stunning 500-acre property in Somerset County, New Jersey. It has passed through a couple of hands throughout the past three centuries, but it is now run as a public/private shared partnership between the county, Richard Branson (Virgin) and Bob Wojtowicz.
The vision of a top quality sustainable farm-to-table culinary center is now becoming a reality at Natirar. Appropriately enough, they named it Ninety Acres, which is the size of the land within Natirar that was set aside for this project. A 99 year ground lease was signed through The Virgin Spa at Natirar LLC to ensure the projects longevity.
